All Derby Worx Machined Axles are “Semi-Polished” or finished to a 600 grit sandpaper. Additional performance gains can be realized by polishing further.
Polish your axles in steps starting at 800 grit with a small amount of water. be careful not to over polish your axles because this will reduce the diameter of the axle. Short polishing intervals are recommended with each grit and keep your drill or Dremel tool at a low speed. Finish your axles with a polishing compound like “Mothers” or “Semi-Chrome” and a soft cloth for best results.
Sandpaper in grits up to 2000 can be attained from local auto supply stores or complete axle polishing kits are available from a Derby Worx dealer found in our “Where to Buy” section.
